Meet Maddy!

Hi,

I’m Maddy founder of Phoenix Boudoir Photography, and the person who will be with you every step of the way.

I keep my work intentionally intimate, so its just little old me and an incredibly talented makeup and hair artist Camilla.

From your very first enquiry through to the moment you receive your images, you’ll deal directly with me—I’m here to guide you, support you, and make sure your entire experience feel relaxed, unintimidating and completely personal.

A little about me… I’m a huge lover of Mexican food, completely obsessed with puppies (much to my husband’s despair), and I’m rarely found without a coffee in hand. I am secretely obsessed with interior design, love the theatre, and I am—without question—a self-confessed dancing queen.

But Phoenix was built on something much deeper than that.

For a long time, I struggled with my own self-image, then after a horrible breakup, I decided to take a leap and book my own boudoir shoot—and I went all in, like completely starkers!

 

It was, without a doubt, one of the most liberating experiences of my life. In just an hour, it did more for my confidence than years of reassurance and self reflection ever could.

The truth is the photos themselves were slightly disappointing (they were very cookie cutter and not personalised to me or my body shape) but the feeling, Wow!

 

I still have one of those images displayed in my home as a daily reminder of how I felt in that moment—confident, powerful, and completely myself. Especially on the days when I need reminding.

It was during that experience that everything changed. I knew every woman deserved to feel that very same way—and Phoenix was born.

Now, my mission goes far beyond creating beautiful photographs. It’s about creating a feeling. A feeling perhaps long forgotten; one of confidence, empowerment, acceptance even.

A feeling that i hope will stay with you long after your shoot is over. I want you to walk away from the shoot feeling amazing from head to toe, seeing yourself in a completely new light BEFORE you've even seen your photos.
